Digitimes is saying that the Foxconn Electronics plant in Shenzhen will start distributing iPad 2 in only one hundred days. They also claim that production could start at 400 to 600 thousand units shipped. Foxconn hasn’t confirmed this rumor, though it comes from Taiwan based component makers (which means the rumors are likely true).
Sources claim that the iPad 2 will ship by the end of February twenty-eleven. Mass manufacturing of the iPad 2 was planned to start in January 2011, but unfortunately the firmware (which I am thinking will be iOS 4.3 or iOS 5) is still being tested, so Apple has put the plan on hold.
